There are two ways to take this course:
- As a Holistic Newborn Care Course for which you will receive the Holistic Newborn Care Specialist Completion Certificate
- As a Hybrid Holistic Newborn Care Course. To accomplish this you must take this course in its entirely PLUS take an advanced breastfeeding class through an approved curriculum. Once these are completed you will receive a Hybrid Holistic Newborn Care Completion Certificate.
The course includes a complete NCS course along with holistic modalities to help ease a newborn or the client through minor issues. We use homeopathy remedies, herbal remedies, essential oils, cranial-sacral, pediatric chiropractor, acupressure, and some proven home remedies that yours to make healing a natural event.
The Holistic Newborn Nanny course combines the Newborn Care Specialist course from ages 0 to 12 weeks and then continues from 4 - 18 months and includes potty training, which generally is not started until around 2 - 3. This is the most complete course Gentle Ventures offers. If you are a Nanny and want to work with 0 - 18 months and older, this should be your beginning point.
We fully discuss sleep conditioning and sleep training, two completely different ways to help an infant sleep through the night. We talk about formula and the reason not to use them, along with helpful suggestions on which ones are safe for human consumption. We discuss reflux, colic, failure to thrive, RAD, death of an infant, along with how to market yourself, your resume, portfolio, and how to present yourself at an interview.
We give you all the pertinent information in this course to find a position as a Newborn Nanny. We include sleep conditioning and sleep training for the older child. This course also includes holistic modalities to complete the 'take me green' concept for baby and mommy.
How important is the manual? This manual will become your bible for newborn care. Not only does it cover what we cover in the course but all updated information is in the manual that may not yet be in the videos. This manual is a full color book consisting of over 300 pages of charts, guides, illustrations, and step by step methods of newborn care. You can take it on the job with you or refer back to it in years to come.
